CourseGraphic Blow and shape a stunning glass bowl and enjoy the creative thrill of working with molten glass! Explore the tools, equipment, and basic principles of the ancient art of glass working. Tour the hot shop and watch a lively demonstration led by the expert team at Michael Amis Studio. Then gather glowing glass from the furnace and have fun experimenting with form and color as you create your own one?of?a?kind bowl. No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity. Projects must be cooled overnight before leaving the studio.

Notice

Please read:  $40 supply fee, cash only, paid to instructor.

Wear natural fibers rather than synthetics, no open toed or open backed shoes, no loose items (hanging watches or bracelets, for example) and long hair should be tied back. Safety glasses will be provided. Participants will be required to sign a waiver at the beginning of class.

Location details: Free street parking is available along both Grove & Prairie Streets. Please come to the Prairie St. side of the building to enter the studio. The studio door will be marked with a sign
