Bring your student to Heartland's Renewable Energy labs for a one-of-a-kind engineering challenge. Over four sessions, students will learn the science of wind energy, see it in action at Heartland, and work through the engineering design process. Grouped into teams with peers their own age, they will build, test, and improve their own model wind turbines through multiple rounds, guided by our KidWind certified facilitator. The course ends with a mini competition on campus and prepares teams to compete in CLC's regional KidWind Challenge in February.
